TRAINING

Sarah has earned the reputation as a talented trainer, both in the UK and throughout Europe. Her track record speaks for itself, with many of her students achieving success both nationally and on the international stage.
Her knowledge and experience of developing horses, combined with her own extensive experience representing Great Britain, makes her very much in demand as a trainer. She is an excellent communicator and is involved with numerous combinations at all levels, from the enthusiastic amateur to international riders, including para dressage.
Sarah’s students, from both the UK and across the Channel, have competed with much success up to international Grand Prix, including FEI Nations Cup team competitions, the FEI Dressage World Cup series and Paralympic Games Squad.
British and foreign Youth riders she has worked with have gone on to represent their respective countries across Europe, including FEI European Championships, FEI Youth Nations Cups and FEI Young Rider World Cup Finals. She has supported and mentored numerous young riders as they make the transition to Senior international competition.

Sarah enjoys all aspects of training in its widest form, be it developing horse and rider combinations, producing a horse to the highest level, or progressing as a trainer herself. She sees each area as rewarding and a challenge. At Millstones, riders benefit from mentoring in all areas of competing and training, from devising a competition plan, to guidance through the complex process of transporting horses abroad.
The development of young horses, seeing them learn and flourish, is the basis of all the horses’ education and another area that Sarah is particularly passionate about. She has achieved consistently successful results in young horse championships and has competed at the FEI WBFSH Dressage World Breeding Championships (World Championships for Young Horses) on multiple occasions.
Sarah completed the World Class Equestrian Elite Coach Apprenticeship Programme, run by UK Sport and British Equestrian, which aims to train elite coaches who have primarily competed or coached internationally for their country.
Sarah also holds the British Dressage Coaching Certificate (BDCC) Level 3 qualification.
